A 38-year-old man had his legs amputated after a very serious work accident with a harvester while working on a farm in the countryside of São Paulo, Brazil. According to information from the Military Police, the employee, who also lived on the farm, was working in the sugarcane plantation area when he slipped and fell on top of the tractor blades while working.
The Fire Department and the police were called to respond to the incident, which also had the support of a Military Police helicopter. According to the police who attended the incident, it was necessary to amputate both legs of the man at the scene of the accident before taking him to hospital in a neighboring town.
